Every session or request starts with a consultation. We want to make sure the client is in the right place and that we know each other well before moving into therapeutic processes. The consultation allows for open communication between the client and RRJ client advocate. The consultation gathers demographic information including insurance and client availability, the symptoms, what other professionals are involved (medical, legal, corrections, DCBS) and outlines the clients benefits for engaging in our programs and what programs may be most beneficial.

After the consultation the client will be scheduled to meet with an intake coordinator, where they will complete an assessment with a counselor who in collaboration with the client will identify a treatment plan and expectations for the therapeutic process.

Being client centered every client may have a different plan to engaging in therapy. However most clients will have the opportunity to consult with the case management team. Case managers assist the therapeutic process by bridging the gap of therapy and everyday living. Treatment plans and a clients goals can be overwhelming so as to where it seems that the case manager would be the assistant to the therapist, at RRJ we work to be the assistant to the client.
