THERAPY

All of our offices offer counseling and therapy for children and adolescents. Our clinicians use play therapy, Parent-Child Interaction Training and a variety of cognitive and behavioral therapy approaches. Children and teenagers both require specialized training and a high level of experience. Child therapy is something our clinicians can help with.

Does my child need counseling?

It can be beneficial for both you and your child to begin individual or family counseling. Children may experience difficult situations, such as but certainly not limited to:

School: stress, bullying, anxiety, pressure to perform

Family: stress, divorce, abuse, trauma, death, neglect

Behavior: anger, violence, vandalism, theft

Or other signs such as bed wetting, withdrawing, depression, eating disorders, sudden loss of interest, loss of appetite, school absence, mood swings, or signs of drug and/or alcohol abuse.

Child counseling can help children get in touch with their feelings, open up about their problems, and attempt to resolve their problems in order to improve their well-being. Mental illness or behavioral problems can be very detrimental to the child as well as the entire family, and repairing the family relationships can be done through assistance of family counseling in addition to child individual counseling.
