Kyle Mitchell, , Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor & Social Worker

Kyle is a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor and Social Worker here at RRJ Solutions. She serves as the Director of Intensive Out-patient Services and provides supervision for Temporary-Certified Social Workers. She is also the Clinical Services Provider and provides supervision to all of the clinical staff members and is a Certified DUI Assessor and Educator.

Kyle began working in the area of substance use and mental health in 1984. She began with Cumberland Behavioral Health at Crossroads. In 1986 she became the first alcohol and drug counselor in Laurel County where she visited Laurel County District Court hearings and the Laurel County jail in order to be able to reach out to those in need of these services. She has also worked in Prevention, Education and Consultation. Kyle was instrumental in the opening and development of Laurel County Day Treatment as a school social worker and addiction counselor. She has worked in several hospital settings including acute care, long-term care, physical rehabilitation, IOP and home health. She has a Master’s Degree in Social Work From UK and received her BS Degree at University of the Cumberlands, when it was Cumberland College.

When asked what she loves most about her job, Kyle replied, “I really like our organization and my co-workers. I enjoy being a part of this team that has the client needs at heart. I am proud of the growth this company has grown had, even through the pandemic. l also love having a team that works well together and are there for each other in times of need.”

Kyle’s favorite books include the Bible, “A Dark and Bloody Ground,” and “The Bluegrass Conspiracy.” Her favorite TV shows are Seinfeld and most things on The History Channel. A few fun facts about Kyle are that she was the first person in her family to go to college and she also has a song for everything and every situation!
